Existing in a world that does not want us
Does not want us breathing
Talking
Talking back
Walking
Walking at night
Walking during the day
A world that does not want us to be anything
But a black woman
Black women bodies are tired

Breathing in a place that offers no oxygen to black women for they are not deemed worthy
